01

The checklist starts over

HR copies a previous plan, then chases managers and IT to adapt it.

02

Answers depend on who replies

Policy links and local guidance are scattered across folders and messages.

03

Handoffs disappear

Equipment, access and introductions have different owners. Missing steps surface on day one.

How it works

An onboarding Skill applies your playbook to the new hire's role. Library holds the guidance; Base holds the checklist and owners.

  1. 01

    Read the right guidance

Load the onboarding Skill, approved policies from Library and the team's checklist from Base.

  2. 02

    Confirm the details

Ask for the location and manager. Flag missing requirements for HR to resolve.

  3. 03

    Prepare the first week

Draft the schedule, policy links and checklist with an owner for each step. HR reviews the plan.

  4. 04

    Follow through

A Scheduled Task checks open items and prepares a progress note for the onboarding owner.

What changes

Shared starting point

Plans use the approved guidance in Library, with links back to the source.

Role-specific preparation

One playbook adapts the checklist to the team, location and start date.

Visible ownership

HR, managers and IT can see who owns the next step in Base.

Fewer repeated questions

Prepare policy answers from supplied guidance; route exceptions to HR.

Follow-up with context

Scheduled progress notes use the same checklist as the original plan.

People keep control

HR reviews the output. Connected actions use explicitly authorised access.
